If you're tired of straight, lifeless hair, have an upcoming event, or just want to give your mane a twist, Old Hollywood-style waves are a red-carpet-worthy bet that's sure to hit the spot. Next, the stylist Miguel Alarcón explains how to achieve the perfect natural waves.
You girls with straight hair are in luck because Old Hollywood style waves are the key trend this spring/summer season. It is a sophisticated hairstyle with a lot of movement, ideal for the summer season in which we want to look fresh and radiant since they provide extra volume to the hair and cause a visual effect of greater quantity. However, getting the perfect waves that look natural and last as long as possible is not an easy task and usually takes more time than we would like.
That is why we went to the new Cache Beauty Palace salon where the stylist Miguel Alarcón reveals his secret to achieving perfect natural waves with Termix products quickly and easily. The key is in the iron, the products, the position of the hands, and the final finish, says the stylist.
Steps to get perfect waves
Prepare the hair: it is essential to wash the hair with a product that does not add weight, that hydrates but at the same time leaves it loose. Afterward, dry the hair with the Termix Professional hairdryer, giving it natural volume at the root.
Protect the hair: use Termix Shieldy Style thermal protector to protect and moisturize the hair from the heat of the flat iron.
Iron temperature: if you have thick, rebellious, and healthy hair you can use a temperature of 200 degrees. For weakened, dyed, or highlighted hair, lower the temperature of the iron to 180 degrees.
Parting the hair is one of the most important steps in achieving even, natural waves. The stylist Miguel Alarcón recommends gathering the hair and making three-centimeter partitions starting at the nape area.
Wave the hair with the Termix straightener inwards so that the two sides have the same volume and direction of the wave. The trick so that the wave remains natural is the rotation of the iron, the position of the wrist, and the position of the elbow that will always go in reverse of the partition, according to Miguel Alarcón.
So that the wave is not divided into two partitions, the stylist recommends mixing the waves and combining them with the Termix Evolution brush to give it more volume and movement.
Finally, to create a little more volume at the root, use Termix's Dusty Style. Me volumizing powder, which does not leave any type of artificial effect.
It is clear that the key to good natural waves is not only the skill of the movements with the iron (which is learned quickly) but the quality and type of products you use.
In this case, the stylist Miguel Alarcón recommends the leading brand of hairdressing products. Under the motto of innovation and hair care, the new Termix Style. My range has a wide variety of hairdressing tools that advocate for hair care and the professional finish they leave.
